3 year Stats

Caydin's 3 year doctor's appointment.... only 5 weeks late!  (I guess thats what happens when you have 1.7 kids!  (Get it.... 7 months down, 3 to go!)

We headed to the doctor on Monday for his appointment.  His doctor looked at his chart and said, "Wow, I haven't seen you since his 2 year appointment!"  I don't think Caydin has ever gone for a "sick visit".  He's always been very healthy - thank goodness!

Here are his stats:
29 and 1/4 pounds
38 and 1/4 inches!

Still tall and skinny!  I think he was around the 25th percentile for weight.  He has always been in the percentile so we aren't concerned.  He gained 3 pounds and 2 inches in the last year.

Caydin's doctor was very impressed that he is completely potty trained (even at night!)  Of course, we give him the good news and the last 2 days, he has had trouble with telling us when he has to go! He leaks some because he waits to the VERY LAST SECOND.  Urgh! Leaks enough to need an underwear change but not enough to call it a full-blown accident.  We are hoping this is a very fast phase that he is going through!

We talked alittle about the speech concerns I have noticed.  He's made huge progress with speech lately and is very understandable but the teacher in me still hears a lot of sounds that he is not saying or sounds that he is switching with another....  I figured that his speech wouldn't be severe enough to need a therapist but I felt better afterwards just going over it with the doctor.  :)

Our other concern has been bug bites lately.  The last few bites (doesn't matter if its an ant bite, mosquito bite, or bee sting) he has swelled up like crazy and it stays swollen for a few days.  I'm pretty sure he had his first bee sting this past month, not that it bothered him at all.  Hes a tough kid.  It just looked yucky on his leg for a week or so.  The doctor told us to do what we've already been doing so all is good there!

Caydin got one shot and will start his Kindergarten booster shots next year when he turns 4 (so he doesn't have to do all 4 shots when he turns 5!)

All-in-all, a good doctor's visit!

Whats a post without a picture?!?!?!
