Pumpkin Craving Time

Last Sunday, Caydin and I craved our big pumpkin. We had 3 pumpkins actually, a little baby one that Marisa gave Caydin {with some super cool colors on it}, a medium sized one that we got at the pumpkin patch and the BIG one. We only planned to crave the big one... the medium one was supposed to be decorated by Cay-man but sadly, we never got the time to do it! hehe, next year little man.
Caydin was very interested in the pumpkin and very curious to see what I was doing. He only touched the goo/seeds twice. Haha, he doesn't like to get messy, remember!
Caydin was super interested in the cut-out lid for the pumpkin though! He would take it off, put it on, take it off, put it on... etc. Then he figured out that it was like a container and he could stick stuff inside so i fished out many balls and a few small toys :)

After a minor meltdown {I just didn't think it would be good if I gave Caydin the craving tools}, we headed inside so Caydin could watch some TV and I could finish the craving!

And there he is, Mickey Mouse! This picture shows the craving half done!

Workin' at Aunt Katie's...

Caydin's first lesson with powertools. I must say, he was a bit scared by the noise but did enjoy seeing the saw dust flying around in the air {see second picture}

15 months

Caydin turned 15 months yesterday and I totally forgot! Actually, I didn't forget because I remember telling a few people that he was exactly 15 months at work yesterday {i get asked ALMOST daily about Caydin which is great since I LOVE LOVE LOVE to talk about him!!!}, but I did forget to blog about it!

Happy 15 months little guy!

This month, Caydin is....

**working on some new teeth, and drooling like crazy!

**mastering the art of sippy cups!

**eating solids like crazy {except for veggies... doesn't like those anymore - we have to sneak a serving or two in with yogurt or mixed in with pasta}

**still taking 2 naps a day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon and somehow still manages to be in bed between 9 and 9:30!

**is attending music classes again, and finally starting to interact with the kids and toys more than the doors and toy containers :)

**constantly RUNNING

**said "Bye Mom" once together but says bye and mom/mama all the time. Caydin also says Hi, 'ello {hello}, pla {plane}, dada... and thats pretty much it. He babbles non-stop all day, everyday so when he figures out words... I imagine he will NEVER stop :)

**Caydin has learned to squeeze water out of the bath tub squirters... though he usually squirts the water right into his own face!!! regardless of where he squirts, he laughs!!!

**Caydin loves the outdoors and will stay out there from sunrise to sunset... He has figured out how to slide the sliding glass door to the porch open and comes and goes as he pleases {at least, he wishes he could come and go as he pleases}. We are soooo thankful to have a BIG screened in porch outside that he can play on and us not worry about what trouble he may or may not be getting into!

Pumpkin Patch

Our visit to the Pumpkin Patch.

Sooooooo, we were planning to head over for some pumpkins this past weekend but the church were the Pumpkin Patch is was having a Fall Festival and were decked out with amusement rides and ticket stands. I didn't feel like fighting through the crowds just to get a pumpkin. SoOO, we decided that yesterday {Tuesday} was THE DAY. We kept Caydin up from his afternoon nap and headed over there after I got home from work only to find that the Pumpkin Patch man was gone and the Patch had a sign that said "CLOSED."

There were a couple of college aged girls there taking photos so I figured... what the hay, I'll take Caydin's pictures now since he was dressed in his pumpkin tee and was somewhat happy. I felt bad breaking into the church Pumpkin Patch... but hey, you gotta do what you gotta do to get those photos!!!

So we took a couple pictures and left {making sure to close the gate after us}. The sign that said CLOSED had a name and number on it so one of the college gals called to see what time the guy would be back. He said 6 pm. We came home, put Caydin down for a short nap and planned to go back after nap time.

Fast forward to 6 pm. I woke Caydin up {that child will sleep forever if we let him} and got him ready to go again. We wanted to drive over to get some PUMPKINs since that the whole point of going {actually picture taking was the point, and the pumpkins were the bonus, hehe}.

Arrived back at the church at 6:30 pm only to find that the guy was STILL NOT THERE! What the hay???? Luckily, we had to go to Target for formula and diapers {I'm sure you needed to know that}. I am sooo thankful that I broke in and took pictures when I did because when we finally got back there, it was already dark!
So there you have it, our pumpkin patch story.

OH man, did I forget to mention that Caydin was totally NOT interested in the pumpkins... instead he was interested in the cars driving by on the road near the Pumpkin Patch. HEHE!!!

{Almost} Wordless Wednesday

Time out stinks...

He has wonderful aunts {especially Aunt Katie for driving 14 hours with a not so fun Caydin early in the morning!!} and super cool uncles {especially Uncle Jay who helped paint all the rooms in Caydin's super cool house!!!}.

Bathtime

Bathtime with Daddy is soooooo much fun!!!!

Those rubber sea animal numbers are LIFESAVERS!

Alphabitty Moments Letter Ee

I am a bit behind on my Alphabitty posts!

Last week was the letter Ee.
I chose EATING as Caydin's word because we have been working very hard at getting him used to "people food". He is getting much much better at touching unfamiliar food and will usually eat anything we give him. He currently loves pasta, carrots, all kind of fruits, french fries, chicken nuggets, and snacks of course! We are also working on waffles during breakfast time!

Keep up the good eating, Mr. Caydin!!!!

Helping {Mom and Granny} Clean Up!

{Mom told me to clean up my room....}

{Do you think I did a good job???}

>>>Please Note: None of the stuff on the floor was there PRIOR to Caydin cleaning his room!!!! But man-oh-man, did you see the excitement on his face (see picture 4)!

HEHE, so cute!

Puzzle Time

{Hey peeps}
Look what I can do...
That's right, I can do my chucky Melissa and Doug Puzzle!
What now?!?!

Yup, thats me! Putting my puzzle pieces "away" -- cause I'm good like that.
Oh wait. WHAT?!?!

You're asking WHY I have an EASTER basket on my play table??? Hmmmm, well its only October... which means... soon it will be Halloween, then Thanksgiving, then Christmas, then New Years, then Valentines Day.... THEN Easter!!!!

...so I might as well, leave my beloved Easter basket out on my play table... because afterall, Easter is ALMOST here.

What?!?! Do you have a problem with that???
Well talk to my mom... no wait, talk to my dad... NO WAIT, talk to my granny!!!!
Love, Caydin
