"Toof Fire" is coming!

About a month ago, we happened to be at the mall for Wyatt's art class when I looked in Caydin's mouth (not sure why I was looking in his mouth) and SAW his permanent tooth coming in behind his baby tooth.  I was shocked!

Then, like a dummy, I posted the "shark tooth" picture on Facebook and asked for advice.  NOTE TO SELF - never ask for advice on facebook.  I got all kinds of comments about kids who had to have their teeth pulled and comments about scheduling a dentist appointment right away.  TALK ABOUT FREAKING ME OUT! (Afterall - I HATE teeth!)

Soooo. I deleted the picture on Facebook.  I did a little research online.  Most said to get the baby tooth some time to come loose and all the dentist if it doesn't seem to be loosening up.  Soo we waited.  And sure enough, it a few days later, it was loose.

The past weekend, it got REALLY LOOSE (I'm not sure how loose it was.. since Caydin wouldn't let me close to it) but I knew it was close to coming out when Caydin told me "I think my tooth broke in two pieces!"  I'm pretty sure he could feel the permanent tooth and the wiggly tooth with his tongue and he thought it was broken!

That night, he ate some pieces of steak after dinner.  Before his bath, I asked to see his wiggly tooth and to both of our surprise - the tooth was gone! He must of swallowed it while eating dinner!

We ended the night by writing a letter to the tooth fairy (toof fire as Caydin spelled it!).

SNOW!!

We had so much fun playing in the snow when we were in Virginia! We were lucky that we travelled Saturday night/Sunday morning and the snow starting falling early early Monday morning! Caydin loved the snow! Wyatt hated it!  (He did so much better about 3 days after it snowed - when it was much warmer outside).

Caydin was a snow shovel pro.  I'm not sure how he did it - my fingers were frozen about 5 minutes  seconds after I went outside... Caydin just kept playing and playing and playing!

I think we are good for snow for the next year or so but I know Caydin is hoping we get to see snow again next year!!!!

Virginia trip 2014 - Phone pics part 1!

FIRST OF ALL - HAPPY WEDDING DAY TO TEE-TEE and TRAVIS!!!!

We are having so much fun in Virginia! We came at the most perfect time! We arrived on Sunday and the snow starting falling early Monday morning!

We (by we - I am Katie (mostly) and alittle Elyse) drove all night Saturday night.  Caydin, Wyatt, and Maddy slept the entire time.  The woke only when we stopped for gas.  They did wake up around 7 am on Sunday.  We stopped for breakfast then watched a couple movies.  Wyatt even grabbed an extra nap before getting to Grandpa's house around 11.

Saturday afternoon, we headed over to the store for groceries and haircuts.  Caydin must of been tired- he actually FELL ASLEEP while getting a haircut.  Crazy kid.

Monday morning, we headed outside early for snow pictures!  Boy was it COLD! and BOY, Wyatt hates the COLD!

He stayed outside for about 32 seconds.
Then he preferred to watch the snow from the window.

It snowed most of the day.  Caydin went outside about 3 or 4 times to play in the snow.  He's pretty much a pro at snow shoveling - which is quite amazing since he's a Florida boy who has never seen snow before! :)

When we weren't playing in the snow, we were busy warming up in the garage by the heater or in the house playing games!

Stay tuned... I have lots more coming! :)
