Christmas Morning!

The boys had a GREAT Christmas morning! We has 2 Christmas events this year - Christmas morning was small with just our little family, Grandma and Grandpa, and Uncle Josh.  Most of the gifts that the boys got came from Santa.  Caydin understood that Santa brought the gifts and was sooooo excited! Santa quickly moved to the top of his "favorite person" list.  Usually Grandpa holds the top spot but this month, it was definitely Santa!

A few days later, we celebrated Christmas with our whole family.  The gifts that he got that day were from Santa.  He was so very excited again! He especially loved a remote control car that he got from Jane and Ray (Jen's mom and dad!)

Here are a few pictures from our Christmas morning! Wyatt was fun this year - as he was only a month old on his first Christmas - he got so excited about a few of his gifts... his stuffed animals and a book that Oma gave him!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was pretty low key! The boys played and played at home.  Daddy had to work in the morning.  Grandma and Grandpa came over after Daddy got home.  We ate a big meal then Grandma, Mommy, Caydin, and Wyatt headed over to Grandma's house for movie time and to write a letter to Santa.  Grandpa, Daddy, and Uncle Josh were busy making some of the outdoor toys that the boys would get on Christmas morning.  After awhile, they finally finished and we headed home.  We had the blinds on the sliding glass door shut so neither boy noticed the new stuff on the porch! Caydin did some sprinkling of oatmeal for the reindeer in the front yard and put Santa's cookies under the tree.  Finally it was bedtime! Both boys went right to sleep!  We got to work moving the presents and made sure everything was ready for the morning!  We were all so excited for Caydin to wake up in the morning.  He really gets it this year so we knew it was going to be a fun year to celebrate!

Snow in Florida?!

It still counts if it came out of a box... Right??!!
Caydin LOVED playing with the "snow" during one of Wyatt's naps.
He seriously played with it the entire 2 hours that Wyatt napped!
At first, we had it in the bowl but after awhile, we moved it to a pan so that his trucks could join the fun!

Can't wait to do another "snow" day soon!

Fun on the Ferris Wheel

On Christmas Eve Eve, we headed over to ride the ferris wheel! Caydin was over the moon excited about all the rides (almost all of which he could ride by himself this year!).  He wanted to ride anything and everything related to vehicles... the motorcycle, the tractor, the race car, and the dump truck.  We all went on the ferris wheel together.  Wy's first time! He did great! Caydin claimed that he could see Virginia from the top of the ferris wheel! HA! We found the airport and saw some planes - always very exciting for a 4 year old plane/truck lover.

Caydin pulled us by the hand to all the things he wanted to do.  He was sad when it was time to leave so we promised a return trip! Hopefully we have time to squeeze it in!

T R O U B L E

He climbs.  A lot.

He has already mastered how to climb onto our bed.
I'm afraid of what he will figure out next.
Caydin wasn't much of a climber at alittle over 12 months.
He was more of a runner.
Wyatt is our climber. Our little monkey.
Maybe I need to change the name of our blog...

Santa Pictures (sideway style...)

I have no idea why blogger keeps turning the first 2 pictures.  Oh well.  We took the boys to see Santa on Friday.  Caydin wasn't worried at all.  He has come along way since his screaming 1 year old and refusal 2 year old days! :) Wyatt was doing pretty good.  No smiles but he wasn't freaking out.  Until he turned around.  Big white beard... Bright red clothing... And he was DONE.  We tried for just one picture of them together and then we were out.  :)

After that, we walked around the mall and got some dinner in the food court.  We never do that.  Nice Friday evening!

Matching Jammies :)

I love matching jammies!
Caydin usually asks to match Wyatt.
I plan to keep matching them until the day Caydin says he doesn't want to anymore.
:)
Because I'm cool like that.

Little climber!

Why is he smiling so big??
Because he is about to go outside and climb the slide. ALL. BY. HIMSELF.
We officially have a climbing baby.
Which is tough! We used to be able to close off most of the bedrooms/bathrooms and let him roam around the house.  Not so much anymore.  There is something in every room that he can climb on.  Kobe's rabbit cage, Caydin's bed, the dishwasher (if open), the slide climber on the backporch.  He is almost able to get onto the couches by himself.  Every once in awhile, he figures out where to stick his foot to get up.
Thankfully, we have Caydin who will yell "UMM Mommy! Wyatt is climbing on ______!"

Who can resist a sleeping 4 year old?!?

We've stopped making Caydin take naps... Now he says he only wants to rest, not nap.. Amazingly enough, he still falls asleep almost every time.

Happy Birthday Little guy! :)

We had a GREAT time celebrating Wyatt's first birthday! So many friends and so many family can over to celebrate the big day with us!  When we started singing "Happy Birthday" Wyatt was alittle unsure of what was going on but by the end of the song, he was smiling big time! After alittle chocolate cupcake and more playtime, our friends headed home.  Caydin and cousin Jay helped Wyatt open his gifts!  We had so much fun playing with all the new toys on the day after his party. :)

Turkeys

These little turkeys were hard to catch this year.
I guess they thought we were going to eat them...
When all we really wanted was a picture!!

We had a great thanksgiving. We headed over to Jane and Ray's house (Auntie Jen's mom and dad) to eat dinner with our family! Everyone was there! We are so thankful to get to see family on the holidays! We headed home after dinner so Daddy could go to work.  Then Elyse, Grandpa (he didn't volunteer!) and I did some Black Friday Gray Thursday shopping at BabiesRUs. The best part was that we were all in bed by 11! (Well not daddy, he worked ALL. NIGHT. LONG!)
(We are also thankful for crafty friends who make the CUTEST holiday shirts! Love you Catherine!)
