This is probably the BEST thing I have purchased for Caydin! On a slow day, it helps get some of the energy out!! On a fun day, it provided endless entertainment for any kids/adults who come over! Caydin loves it and so do we!

Saturday re-cap!
"Heeeeelllllooooo. Mama says to tell everyone that I was really good while getting my haircut on Saturday. I was sooo good that instead of a lollipop afterwards - my mom and dad took me to get frozen ice at Rita's. That was a lot of fun... until I didn't listen when Mommy and Daddy said to sit and not run away so we had to get in the car to finish our flavored ice. (I liked mama's pink lemonade!) On the way home, mom and dad took me to play at the little park near our house. I loved the slides and went down them on my own a billion and three times. Well gotta run. Mama wants the computer or something.... (jeez, and I was just about to check out Starfall or the chuggington website...) Byeeeeeeee byeeeee people!"

"Art"
Caydin finds more fun in taking crayons out/putting crayons in the box than he does actually doing an "art" project! His OCD with the crayon box did keep him busy for a good 10 minutes though!!... If thats all it takes to keep him busy, I will gladly bring home 50 more boxes of crayons from school! ;)

Like Mother, Like Son
Caydin really liked walking up and down the sidewalk with his shopping cart (like a million times) on Friday (August 13). All the neighbors thought he was the cutest little guy ever! I totally agree with all of them! :)
Hanging with Jaylin
Caydin loves playing with Jaylin!
Jaylin loves bubbles!
Caydin loves running.
Jaylin loves chasing after Caydin and bringing him back to the yard.
Caydin loves showing Jaylin which way to walk.
Jaylin loves winking!

Back to School Tomorrow...
Dear Caydin,
Thanks for hanging out with me all summer. I'm sure Daddy thanks you too... since I was so busy chasing after you all day, I didn't have time to bug daddy too much this summer!
Love, Mommy
P.S. Thanks for taking a crazy amount of terrible self pictures with mommy. You only take the picture because you want to see the photo pop up on the back of the camera screen but I'm hopeful that one of these days, I'll get a good one of the two of us!
P.P.S. Be nice to your daddy and grandma during the weekday mornings/early afternoons. We all know you are a mama's boy but they love playing with you and holding you too!
P.P.P.S. Poop when your daddy is watching you. Thanks!

Playgroup Art
Caydin has always enjoyed his Kindermusik classes, not so much for the music and activities but because he has friends to run and play with. When our Kindermusik class ended for the Spring session, a bunch of families decided to get together at homes for playgroup. And thus - our weekly playgroups have started! Now 4 months later, we look forward to getting together every week. Last week, we started doing a little craft activity with the kids because we all decided to skip the Kindermusik art class (saving money ya know!!!) so here you have Caydin and his buddies doing art!
His first week, he wasn't so impressed by the art or the painting. He was much more interested in all the dad's playing football on the Playstation. He did however put a couple drops of paint on a little green tote bag and added a few pompom's.
This week, we did the art activity at our house and did ice painting. I mixed water with food dye, then froze it (added in straws to be the handles when the ice was half frozen). Little Lady and Caydin who were the two who wanted nothing to do with last week's project were the two most interested in the ice painting! The older boys wanted to jump in the bounce house but did come over to paint alittle!
We will definitely do ice painting again!

Pre-Bath Routines
Caydin loves bathtime one day and hates it the next. I think he's going through a water funk right now (haha)...
On days that he loves taking a bath, he gigles like crazy while I run the water and he hides in mommy and daddy's closet. We play the "Where's Caydin" game and I search all over the bedroom and bathroom looking for him. Usually when I say outloud, "Is Caydin over the pillow?" Caydin will respond "NO!"
On days that Caydin hates bathtime, he will hide in the back back back of the closet, under the clothes, and whine until I have to pull him out and toss him in the tub.
Oh how I love my 2 year old!
These pictures were taken on a "love bathtime day"!!!!!

Silly during Bathtime
Dear Caydin,
Just so you know, you are one silly bath baby!
You love bubbles in the water but hate when bubbles are on your feet.
You have this blue star bathtoy that is similiar to a sprinkler, because it shoots water up into the air. That part doesn't interest you at all. You're interested in the flashing blue light. You use it like a flashlight and shine it on every toy in the tub. You especially like to shine it in mommy's mouth (checking for cavities of course!).
You always pick a toy to take into the bath with you. The night gets alittle crazy when you want to bring a toy into the bath that shouldn't go into the bath... like a toy with batteries... or books. But usually you pick a HotWheels car or one of your metal choo-choo's.
Near the end of bath time, you do this funny thing where you pretend to sleep in the bath. When the water drains to about one to two inches left in the water, you lay down on your belly, request the lights to be turned off, and then snore loudly.
It's very very funny!
Love, Mommy
