Strawberry Pickin'

{March 26, 2014}

I can't believe I haven't posted this yet!

But its all in good timing since Miss Annabelle was born this week! Happy birth week Annabelle!

Over Spring Break, we met up with Catherine, Landen, and Gavin at the strawberry patch! We also got to meet up with another college friend Danielle and her son Ethan!

The boys always have a good time when they are together!

As you can tell in the pictures, it was a DANG COLD day.  We are used to spending Spring Break in the pool!

Wyatt needs a little more practice with picking strawberries.  He picked anything he could find (red, green, brown, smushed..)  Caydin was much more detailed with his picking. He checked each one before putting it in his basket!  Wyatt might of eaten more strawberries at the strawberry fields than he has in the past 6 months!

After a little bit of strawberry pickin', we headed over to Danielle's for lunch and playtime.  A great way to spend the morning over Spring Break!

 

Playing with Ava!

{March 25, 2014}

Over Spring Break, we were so excited to have Ava come over for a few hours of playtime! Caydin had the best time!  Wyatt was at Gymboree so Caydin was able to get some one-on-one time with Ava.  They colored pictures then played checkers.  After lots of more play time, they ate lunch.  Before we knew it, it was time for Ava to go.

Zoo Day!

We have been trying to spend as much time as possible at the zoo on the weekends before it gets hot! The boys love it! We go early, before the zoo starts getting busy.  Wyatt loves the giraffes and Caydin loves the birds. 

We were excited to see the cheetah today.  Usually she is hiding by the time we get to her area!  We also learned a lot about the jaguar this trip from one of the zoo workers!  We avoided the zoo train this trip, much to Wyatt's disappointment!

Amazingly enough, the boys haven't asked to go the splash pad that they have at the zoo.  I'm sure that's coming though!

We usually stop for lunch on the way home, the boys end up napping in the car, then nap more at home, then we head over to Grandma's to swim in her pool!

 

This week.

Tuesday:

Grandma took Caydin to soccer. Mommy stayed home with Wyatt and Maddy! 

Wy was warning Maddy to stay away from the pretend fire!

I took Wy and Maddy to the park! They both had a great time! Maddy hung out in the swing and Wy climbed everything. 

Wednesday:

It was Winegard Wednesday. I love Caydin's shorts.

I got home from school and the boys were anxious to ride their scooters.

Wy is amazing on a scooter. Its pretty crazy how good he is! 

Thursday: 

Wy usually wakes up to go to the bathroom at night. Then he asks to Lay with mommy. I usually let him! Pretty soon, a day will come with laying in bed with mommy isnt cool. 

Early this morning, Caydin joined my bed too! They usually never cuddle. Definitely a rare picture opportunity!

It was playgroup night! We switched it up and headed to Grandmas for swim time!

Both guys had a great time with Ava and Arwen! Uncle Travis makes the best potatoes!

Wordless Wednesday - Soccer star and all his fans!

Swimming!

It's almost pool season and the boys are more than ready!!!!

And who can celebrate the start (and end) of Spring Break without jumping in the pool??

So... in they went! They only lasted about 30 minutes each day they went in... because they would get chilly... but they loved every second they were in there!

 

Caydin was quick to pick up his swimming skills from last summer and was jumping and swimming within minutes. 

 

Wyatt has been a great listener (so far!) and hasn't tried to go near the deeper water.  Last summer, he had no clue that the deeper water was dangerous so someone always had to be close to him when he was in the water.  Thank goodness that the pool at Grandma/Grandpa's house has a huge swallow area! So nice!

 

I foresee A LOT of summer days spent in the pool this season! :)

Geo track morning!

We have been busy this morning building with the geo tracks! Wyatt keeps singing "This way, that-a way,  this way, that -a way,  just like this. " as he builds.  Then they both stare in awe as they watch the train go around the track.  I love watching them play together.  

Caydin made himself the inspector and went around with a flashlight checking all the track pieces.  When he found a bad one,  he would make a loud siren sound and Wy would come run to fix it. Teamwork,  I tell ya!

Fun at the Rehearsal Dinner!

Back to our Virginia/Maryland trip!

 

On Thursday the 6th of March, we drove over an hour from my dad's house to the hotel in Maryland.  We stopped at the castle where Tee-tee was getting married and practiced for the wedding.  Then we dropped our stuff at the hotel, got changed, and headed to dinner! What a busy night!  We were so excited to see Uncle Jay, Auntie Jen, and cousin Jay.  It was so much fun watching the boys interact!

 

The boys ate a yummy grilled cheese (and I ate chicken!) then played with Devin, Dakota, and Jay till it was time to leave!
