VPK

Caydin has been in VPK for 2 full weeks now!

Daily.

From 9 to 12.

Somedays he asks us if he can stay at school longer.

Other days he wants to come home at the normal time.

Loves playground time.

Learned the Pledge of Allegiance.

Says school is "going really great."

Can't remember (or doesn't want to tell us) any of his friends' names.

He is going to be a GREAT tantrum thrower :)

Play time with Jay

 My brother Jay came into town this past weekend with my little buddy Jay.

Auntie Jen was out of town and didn't make it this trip.

We had a good weekend of playtime and swimming with all the boys.

I think I say this every time but it is fun watching Jay and Wyatt interact because they are so close in age.  A few months ago, they were just laying on blankets together and now they crawl all over the place, grab eachother, push eachother down.... JAY!, and steal the toy that the other has... despite there being toys ALL OVER THE PLACE!

Caydin was in Heaven because Grandpa was in town for the weekend. 'Nuff said about that! :)

Wordless Wednesday - Oops!

5K-ers

I'm not really a huge fan of getting up suuuuuuuuper early.

And to be honest, I'm not really a huge fan of running.

But I committed to a 10 mile run coming up at the end of September.

I might have even committed to a 13.something mile run in February!

Soooooooo, I wake up early some mornings.

Annnnnnnd run/walk/jog/crawl.

Just so you know.

I do love the shirts though. And this medal was PRETTY COOL too! :)

(Though... Don't be fooled... Everyone got a medal!)

Sea World with our buddies!

What would I do without Catherine?!?! She remembers to post old pictures... and I don't.  Thankfully, her recent post was the kick I needed to get my pictures posted as well!  On August 1st, we headed over to Sea World (after swim class) to spend time with our bestests!

BUT FIRST!!!!!

Wyatt slept through the ENTIRE night for the first time (9 pm to 7 am).  He woke up happy and ready to hang out with Daddy for the morning.  He slept consistently through the night for over a week after that.  (The past few nights, he has been getting up once between 2 and 4).

 We got to Sea World alittle before Catherine and the boys so we headed over to the dolphins and sting rays.  Caydin is getting brave these days and tries to stick his hand in the water to touch the sting rays.

 Gavin had a cut on his knee.  Caydin was showing Gavin where he had a cut before. :)

 Oops, this picture is out of order.  We stopped for lunch and the Shamu show.  Thank goodness for PB&J!  Caydin must of been hungry, he ate his sandwich in record time.

Splash Park with Jonah!

Raise your hand if you want to play with Jonah in the splash park!!!!

Last week, we headed.... (well I don't really know where we were... I followed the navigation app on my phone!) But, we headed somewhere to play with our buddy Jonah! 

 There was a really neat splash park and playground area, not to mention being right on the water and seeing seaplanes... oh and the train tracks!! :)  Sadly, there was no train but Caydin had a great time and had LOTS of questions about the tracks! Wyatt was very happy sitting in the water.  Jonah is a crazy water loving little guy! Caydin would have never touched a splash park when he was Jonah's age.  Trust me, we tried! He was just not into the water that splashed in his face..  Wyatt is going to be like Jonah, I'm sure! :)

Swings

Sometimes we like to take walks in the stroller (Wyatt) and rides on the scooter (Caydin) in the evening time. Caydin usually convinces us to go the park.  Wyatt got his first ride in the swings on this trip! I'm pretty sure Caydin figured out that he no longer fits in the baby swings anymore on this trip too! Wyatt wasn't so sure about the swings at first but started smiling away after being in it for a few minutes! Caydin has ALWAYS loved the swings.  I remember when he was little that we literally had to force him to do other things at the playground. :)

Summer Days

Summer is quickly coming to an end! In fact, I go back to work tomorrow!

Sooooooo, that means... I need to post a whole-lotta pictures today! :)

(Well over the next couple of days...)

We spent very few days at home this summmer.

Mainly because Caydin had swim lessons 4 days a week and it was just easier to go places after swim rather than go home.  Caydin got to visit with lots of friends, went to a whole-buncha places, and had very few tantrums this summer (insert happy face here!).  We sure kept him busy! He still wakes up everyday and asks "Where are we going today?!"

The few times that we were home were spent playing, playing, playing.... because this is what happens when I tried to clean anything or do any kind of chores..  (I always had a little helper!)

 ....Just because every kid should wear fireman rainboots when they wash their hands...

 After pulling Wyatt down from the dishwasher a 100 times and cleaning up all 82624 cars (it's probably not that many... but definitely close!) of Caydins, we headed outside for some playtime!
