Insta-Update!

Wyatt loves to use spoons and forks while eating.  He tries to grab the knifes too but we keep telling him that he needs to get MUCH MUCH BIGGER first. 

I had the BEST time walking in the Color Run with my bestest!

We moved all the toys out of the toy room because we had the carpets cleaned.  The boys enjoyed a meal at the play kitchen.

Wyatt figured out that cars are supposed to go "vroom, vroom" on the floor! He makes the sound and everything!

Best thing ever - an empty room!

Wyatt felt bad for the brother who had to sit in time out.  So he joined him. Because thats what little brothers do.

We needed an extra storage piece in the toy room.  Caydin helped Grandpa build it.

Bath boys!

Our evenings are usually pretty structured.  Dinner, bath, books, bed!

Up until this week, Caydin loved taking baths with Wyatt.  Now he refuses and insists on taking a shower in the master bathroom.  I'm so glad I took a few pictures when he still liked playing in the tub with his little brother! :)

Wyatt splashes like a crazy guy.  He will put his face right into the water and comes back up smiling.  We use a big cup to raise the boys hair... Wyatt will fill it up with water and try to drink it.  He LOVES water. 

We can't wait for swim lessons this summer!

Color Run 2013

Oh my gosh! We had SOOOOO much fun at the Color Run! Here are the pictures taken with Catherine's cellphone! The 4 of us really didn't put much effort into "running" the color run! I don't think I ran more than 3 steps the entire time!  But so much fun!!!  We made sure to take a picture after each area! I loved loved loved getting to spend time with my bestest (and no kiddos!)  I also loved that I won a XL Color Run hoodie but I didn't love that I had to walk the 3 miles holding it! HA! I must say that Catherine and I have pretty good jumping skills.  Andrea has awesome taking-jump-picture-skills!

 

Donuts, books, and a "broken" elbow

Wyatt had his first powdered donut recently! He thought it was SUUUPER yummy! We loved that it kept him busy in his highchair for a few minutes (just being honest... don't we all need 5 minutes of quiet kid time to unload/reload the dishwasher!!)  Wyatt also feels the need to have a spoon with every meal... and not the spoon you are using to feed him.  He is pretty independent.. He likes to feed himself! :)

After donuts... it was bath time.. and after bath time.. it was read books time! Caydin loves to look at books with Wyatt but gets frustrated when Wyatt tries to turn the page too soon or walks/crawls/sits on the page he is trying to read.  I don't blame him!

After Wyatt goes to bed, Caydin gets a chore to do - he usually likes to claim the swiffer as his chore but really he is just expected to clean up/put away his toys! On this day, he swiffered the floor with a broken elbow.  Now thats dedication!

It didn't take long...

...for Wyatt to master the new playset outside.  The first few days we had it, he needed help getting up and down and didn't know how to slide by himself.  Now, he can climb the stairs and slide down both slides by himself!  We don't feel the need to be right next to him when he is outside on the porch either!  It's so nice to sit back and watch the boys interact together!

Apparently, Wyatt has been studying the art of scootering because one day, I caught him actually moving on it through the kitchen!

Loving the Florida weather!

We are in the middle of a very WARM winter!

I'm not complaining! I would rather it be hot and sunny than cold ANYDAY!

The boys LOVE to be outside so warm, sunny weather is what we hope for every morning!

We had some fun outside riding bikes and scooters when cousin Jay was here a few weeks ago!

Daddy loves to make his hair even longer! :)

Caydin told me that construction workers keep their pencils on their ears so he needed to practice that too while doing his school work!

Caydin spent the day with Grandma.  He decorated his playhouse with "christmas lights".  He was so excited to show me when I came to pick him up!

He also wishes everyone he sees a "Happy New Year" ... some 12 days after the New Year! (I guess there really isn't a timeline for how long you can wish people a Happy New Year... so rock on little man!)

Caydin said we needed to practice our sight words.  He was the teacher.  I was the student.
