Recycle Day

Being a garbage guy must be a stinky job but man, those guys/gals who do it are super nice.  Caydin has been waving and watching them for the past 3-ish years.  Just about every garbage guy/gal has beeped, waved, and talked to Caydin.  So when we found out about Recycle day and guided tours around the landfill, we had to go! When we got there, we found out that they also had huge construction vehicles to check out and even a few garbage trucks to climb in! Talk about a dream-come-true for a 4 year old! They also gave us lunch... for free!

I have a TON of pictures to share from Wyatt's first birthday week! Prepare to be overwhelmed!

Sweet Wyatt had his one year checkup with the doctor early on Tuesday (his actual birthday).  We were the first appointment so we were in and out in no time! He had to get 2 shots, cried for a few seconds but was over it in no time! :) Thankfully, he had no signs of crankiness after the shots (we had no time for that anyways!)

After his appointment, we headed over for orientation at Caydin's new preschool (more about that later!)

Lots of pictures, playtime, and a few naps later, we celebrated with dinner and cake.  Boy, Wyatt was a trip to watch as he ate his cake.  Caydin refused to touch his cake and would cry when he got close to a cake when he was little so this was a first for us! Wyatt did not disappoint! He thought the cake was AWESOME! :)

Touch-a-truck 2012

This past Saturday, we headed downtown to go check out this year's Touch-a-truck.  Last year, we attended the event just one day before Wyatt was born. Go figure that we would see a million very-pregnant momma's this year.  Oh the memories.  So thankful that I wasn't big and round and ready to pop this year around!

Caydin had all his friends with him this year but seemed very overwhelmed with the amount of trucks and people.  He did much better this year getting into the trucks and letting me take his picture! Haha! He knew what trucks he wanted to see and the rest... he had zero interest in.

Wyatt did GREAT! He did well in his stroller but really loved getting out and walking around. He even got to climb into a mail truck!

The boys love to go to the park. Wyatt thought he'd try out some dirt.. that kid is ALWAYS hungry! I'm pretty sure with the face he is giving in the 2nd picture that he isn't going to try dirt again anytime soon! Hahaha, after some fun in the dirt, we headed over to the swings. AKA picture time for mommy.

We made little soldiers this morning and talked about the military. :) I told Caydin that Grandpa and Uncle Josh were in the military so he named his little soldier man Jack.

11 months!

Poor buddy!

I just can't seem to get his monthly pictures posted on time!

Sooooo, I'm not really sure how he got to be 11 months already.

Some days, I feel like he was born yesterday and this has been the shortest year ever. :)

Wyatt is such a joy to have around (most of the time!).  He is such a little man too - walking everywhere.  If he hears the laundry room door open, the dishwasher door open, or the water in the bathtub - he walks super fast (its not quite a run yet!) to get to where you are!

He starts waving bye-bye as soon as you pull him out of bed - we aren't sure if its because he wants out of his room or if he really wants to go bye-bye at 8'oclock every morning!

He is a great sleeper!  He still takes 2 good naps everyday - 9 am and 2 pm. He goes to bed for the night around 8:30 pm. 

He gets so excited to see people he knows but isn't too thrilled with people he doesn't know - i.e. the photographer for our picture session! HA!

He loves to carry around a rake and shovel. Maybe he will be a farmer?

He feels as though he should be allowed to play with the computer and Mommy's cellphone. When he doesn't get his way, watch out. Crazy-throw-yourself-on-the-floor-tantrums. Scary.

He has about a 2 minute interest in television (even Baby Einstein doesn't catch his attention).

He is PAST due for his big boy carseat - he is way to heavy now in his infant seat! It's on the top of our list to go and get new carseats! We are actually getting a new seat for Caydin and Wyatt will get the set we already have. :)

Wyatt loves table food and loves to feed himself.  Caydin was and still is the complete opposite. 

Wyatt wears 12 or 18 month clothing - depending on if he is in cloth diapers or not! :)
