Christi the Elf

On December 1st, Christi the Elf arrived at our house!  Caydin watched a few short videos on the internet and listened to me read the story - then it was time to name him/her!  Caydin doesn't usually name his stuffed animals so I was alittle curious to see what Elf's name would be...  After no prompting - he came up with Christi (I'm guessing Elf is named after Grandma :) -- Maybe Grandma was wearing red that day too??? I have no idea why he named our Elf Christi!)   The name stuck and now he refers to the Elf as Christi every time he sees him!

Christi isn't your typical Elf on the shelf...  He likes to stay in the same spot for a few days before moving! LOL!  Caydin enjoys looking for him though!  Here are some of Christi's favorite spots so far!

Life is tough..... not!

He sure has the best life! :)

Having a newborn makes your big boy look really big!

My big boy looks really big when you compare him to his brother! :)
I honestly don't remember Caydin ever being the same size as Wyatt (and to think - Caydin was actually SMALLER than Wyatt!)
Lately, Caydin has noticed that he doesn't get the same amount of attention that he used to get and has been acting sort of crazy..
But he still says and does the funniest things...
LIKE....

"I love you so much Mommy" --- when he wants something!
"He's my bruder!!" --- when he is showing off Wyatt to his school teacher.
"I go get my tools and make him into a big boy." --- when he hears Wyatt crying.
"Mommy, we go to the park?" --- when I tell him that we have to take care of Wyatt first he says "No mommy, just Caydin and mommy.  Wyatt stay with Daddy."
When I asked Caydin what he wanted for lunch, I thought he said "Turkey."  I got excited, my kid never asks for food --- when I repeated "Turkey?"  He responded - "No mommy, tookie."  Darn speech!

Holiday Projects

A few days ago, Caydin and I sat down to do a holiday project while Wyatt was napping.  Caydin is interested in anything Christmas right now so he thought it was really neat that he had the outline of a Christmas tree on his paper.  I found the activity on Pinterest (I think).  The directions said to bite the marshmallows in half then stick...Caydin didn't really understand how to bite them in half so he just licked them and they stuck to the paper pretty good!  He stayed pretty focused during the activity. :)  He did tell me that he "didn't need to put marshmallows on the tree trunk" - I guess he was done with the activity by the time he got to the trunk.

He also told me that he doesn't like to eat marshmallows.  I figured that would be half the fun when doing this activity - licking one for the paper... then eating one... licking... eating... but nope - he didn't want to eat any!

Now when he sees me printing something to getting stuff out of my craft container - he asks if we are going to do a project.  :)

I'm 3 weeks old today!

Mr. Wyatt wasn't really into taking pictures today!  I might try to get a few more tomorrow.  :)
I'm pretty sure he was more interested in growing today... aka... eating.  LOTS!
Daddy worked on cleaning out the garage today so Wyatt got to spend some time in his bouncy chair outside in the garage!  It was beautiful weather and cloudy most of the day... Wyatt was alittle confused by the wind though! He would throw his little arms up when the wind blew in his face!

Strolling

The first time Wyatt went for a walk (with just mommy and Caydin) he slept the entire time!

The second time we went for a walk - daddy joined and this is what Wyatt did the entire time!

Big brother Caydin insisted on pushing little brothers stroller..  Big brother also wants to bring our jogging stroller on walks.... so his baby (lovey) can go for a ride too.  So far, we've been able to convince him that lovey wants to ride with Wyatt...  We'd sure look like a crazy bunch pushing 2 strollers down the sidewalk... one being empty!

Build a Bear

Last weekend, Caydin and I headed over to the mall to go to Ava's build-a-bear birthday party!
Caydin picked out a tabby cat and told the employee that its name was Cabby.  (Later at home, he just called it "cat".)
He liked getting to stuff his cat, kissing the heart and sticking it inside, pretending to wash it, and giving it a green ribbon!

Afterwards we ate lunch, sang happy birthday to Ava, then shared yummy cupcakes!
Such a fun morning for Caydin.  He adores his friends and is always excited to spend time with them!
