Chicago Part 2

I was so glad that we were all able to get together in Chicago! Maddy was so fun to hold and cuddle!

Here are a bunch of pictures that we took while hanging out in the hotel and hanging out at Great Grandma/Great Grandpa's house!

I love Maddy boo! She is just the smiliest, drooliest, baby right now! So calm and chill too! We could lay her on the bed and she would just kick and look around for the longest time!

 Caydin loved Maddy too! He was so gentle and sweet with her!

 No vacation is complete without a sick baby! :(

Wyatt woke up in the middle of the night wheezing and having a hard time breathing.  We took him to the ER and they took us he had croup.  After some cool air to help with the swelling in his throat and a shot, we were sent home! He got much much better! That turned into a cold but everyone seemed to have a cold that weekend so it wasn't a big deal!

 We spent the afternoon at the zoo! We found a beautiful spot to see the city and also saw a wedding party taking their professional pictures!

This one should really be at the top! It was our first plane.  Wyatt's first time on a plane! It was also the same plane that lost Grandma's luggage and made her be stinky for a whole day!

Hammocks Beach State Park!

On Thursday, we headed over to Hammocks Beach State Park to take some pictures with a friend that Katie knows! We spent most of the morning with her.  Both boys liked her a lot so I hope we got a couple good photos!

Our plan was to head over to the beach after that but we needed to eat some lunch first.  Katie came to the rescue with some Chik-fil-a! While waiting, Wyatt fell asleep in the stroller and Caydin got stung by a couple bees.  Poor buddy, he was just standing around watching a tractor go across the grass when he got stung.  He started screaming and yelling.  He recovered very quickly though!

 

After lunch, we headed to the ferry for a boat ride across to Bear Island where the beach was located.  Such a nice little beach! Wyatt slept through the first ferry ride but Caydin really enjoyed it! We had to walk about 1/2 a mile to get to the beach.  Thank goodness for strollers and a paved walkway!

 

We really enjoyed the beach and sand.  Both boys had an awesome time! If we are ever in Hubert again, we will definitely go back to Bear Island!!!

Tic Tac Toe with Oma

Caydin learned how to play Tic Tac Toe with Oma.  He loved the game!  I think they played every evening that Oma was here!

Stop growing! (and playtime!)

Wyatt loves trains. He has never sat through a baby show on TV but will watch CHUGGINGTON.  It's a good thing that I think that show is cute. :) It also helps that it comes on the Disney channel at 7:30 am! We have time to get Caydin ready for school without Wyatt screaming to be held or wanting food! So nice!

 

Lately, he has been reminding us over and over that he is no longer a baby.  He is saying a whole bunch of words! He is working on his list of "likes" and "dislikes".  He drives trains around on the floor and makes cute little "train sounds".  He also does things to make the rest of us laugh! Um, hello! STOP GROWING!

 

He loves to be with Caydin.  Lately, he loves to steal all of Caydin's favorite trucks and run away with them.  He loved it when he found Caydin hiding in some toy bins! I love getting to watch the boys interact with eachother.  

Puzzle Time

Caydin told me one day that we had to do a puzzle every. single. day.  It only lasted about 3 days and the he forgot to ask for a puzzle! Thank goodness.  We only have about 3 different big puzzles.  Caydin is getting pretty good at doing puzzles.  The puzzles are also helping Caydin to stay focused on an activity for longer than 2 minutes. (Don't worry Ms. Denise - we are working hard on his attention span!)  Wyatt thinks that puzzles are pretty neat too - he thinks it is super funny to break apart the pieces that Caydin has already finished! Silly baby. 

Touch-a-truck 2012

This past Saturday, we headed downtown to go check out this year's Touch-a-truck.  Last year, we attended the event just one day before Wyatt was born. Go figure that we would see a million very-pregnant momma's this year.  Oh the memories.  So thankful that I wasn't big and round and ready to pop this year around!

Caydin had all his friends with him this year but seemed very overwhelmed with the amount of trucks and people.  He did much better this year getting into the trucks and letting me take his picture! Haha! He knew what trucks he wanted to see and the rest... he had zero interest in.

Wyatt did GREAT! He did well in his stroller but really loved getting out and walking around. He even got to climb into a mail truck!
