"I wish.. I wish.. To be a Fish!"

Grandma and Grandpa's pool is warm enough to swim in again!!! Caydin has been asking to swim in it for weeks! So after a hot day of working out in the yard last weekend (April 2nd), Grandpa decided to go for a swim.  Caydin, of course, was in there about 5 seconds after we asked him if he wanted to join!  Thank goodness for pool gates that lock, for without the gates I'm sure we'd have a little swimmer everyday of the year!!
Even Wy got on his little swimsuit and went for a splash!  He loves bathtime but wasn't so sure about the chilly pool water... especially when Grandpa let drops of chilly water run down his back!

A Playgroup Egg Hunt

Sometimes the best of ideas just don't work out!
Thankfully, I have a group of friends who laugh at the mishaps!
Here's the story of our playgroup egg hunt:

One day, there was a mommy who had found the greatest idea online for a glow-in-the-dark egg hunt.  She got all the eggs and the paint and get started painting!  She even got the help of a very awesome three-year-old!

Things were going well, eggs were painted and set out in the sun to dry and "charge!" The mommy did a test to see how much glow were on the eggs.  She found that some of the eggs needed alittle more glow so she did a second coat on all the eggs!
Then the night of the big hunt arrived!  The mommy and her amazing three-year-old packed up all the eggs and headed out for some fun!  Things were looking good - the eggs were glowing and placed under the stove light for some extra charge.  Some playgroup daddies were ready to hide eggs and the kids were all ready to eat cake, a very special bunny cake!!

The sky darkened and the kids were pumped up ready to look for eggs! And thats when the misfortune starts to happen... The kids run outside only to yell "I don't see anything!"
Oh no. The eggs don't glow.
With the help of a few flashlights and lots of laughs about the non-glowing "glow-in-the-dark" eggs, the kids found... most of the eggs!
The mommy felt alittle silly that she planned a glow-in-the-dark egg hunt and it didn't turn out right but all the kids had a ton of fun! THANK GOODNESS! (And just so you know, the daddies who hid the eggs said they were glowing!! - Apparently they have a very short errrrr GLOW life!)
See all the fun had by the kiddos?
The end.

P.S. That mommy was me.  OOPS!

Dreaming of garbage trucks...

Sometimes...
You just need to nap on Grandma's bed....
With your garbage trucks.

Easter Bunny Love

Rice is amazing!

Wyatt had his first try at rice cereal a week ago, April 1st! He thought it was awesome and ate every drop in the bowl.  He didn't have any problems with pushing it back out of his mouth and the little bit that tried to sneak out... was but right back in! :)
The spoon was a neat little toy as well!  He always wanted to "help" me with the spoon - everytime the spoon went near his mouth, he was trying to grab at it!
He was not impressed when he figured out that the bowl was empty and he wasn't getting any more!
Sorry sweet guy, next time we will put more in the bowl!!!!

Garbage Trucks

Caydin found some "hidden" toys at Grandma's house.
He was super excited when he found this treasure:

(Yup, it's another garbage truck!)
He was even more excited when it came out of the box and he got to see all the doors that open and buttons to push and pull on.
And lets not forget the garbage!!!!
....and this guy.... well he is excited that he can finally roll from his back to his belly!!!!!!

Spring Break 2012 - Disney World

We were so excited to spend a few days at Disney with family.  Caydin got to meet some cousins and Rob and I got to visit with Colleen and bro Dan.  Caydin had a blast at Disney.  This is the first year that he really understood what Disney was all about!  We were so lucky that the weather was amazing - not too hot and the crowds were managable!  Caydin even was able to skip naps without a huge meltdown.  On Wednesday when we went to Epcot, Caydin actually fell asleep on my lap during the Michael Jackson show.  He hasn't fallen asleep on my lap in years!  (Don't worry Caydin - Michael Jackson didn't really impress me either! LOL)
Some of the rides we loved:
The Mad Tea Cups
The Haunted Mansion
The Racecars (Speedway thing)
Epcot's Mexico Boatride with Donald Duck
The Nemo Ride
The SteamTrain ride around the Magic Kingdom
And of course, riding the monorail and tram!!!
