Washington D.C. ~ Part 3

Blog Hop

The topic for this week's blog hop is favorite photos! Here are mine!!!


This is a picture of Caydin around 4 months old - we were in Chicago at the end of November so we had to bundle Caydin up in blankets, jackets, and sweaters.... totally different than our Florida weather! That trip, Caydin flew for the first time and did GREAT! We didn't have to pack a million things because he was hardly "playing" with toys. While in Chicago, Caydin slept in a boppy! OOOohhh the memories!!!

This picture is of Caydin at 11 months. The picture was taken in St. Pete while we were on vacation attending Uncle Jay's wedding. It was the photo I sent out with his birthday invites, only to find that since I printed them on the computer, the ink rubbed off all over the card so everyone got a picture of Caydin with no face!!!

Finally, my newest Caydin picture... taken just a few days ago at the Washington Monument in Washington D.C. Aunt Katie was lifting him up and down and he thought it was the funniest thing in the world!


It's funny how every one of my favorites were taken while on one of our many vacations. Hehe!!

Washington DC - part 2

I am alittle behind on blog posting! Here are more Washington D.C. pictures {I have more coming still}. I also am working on our zoo pictures, bath pictures, and even some of my recent "eye popping" pictures {a tutorial that I read and played with for photoshop ---- which I LOVE!!!}

...my dad called this the forgotten memorial because it hasn't been maintained very well and people hardly even notice it. Its the D.C. War memorial for all the people from the DC area who were involved in the world war {I think}

Katie and I had fun taking pictures there because we were the ONLY ones! we acted goofy and no one even noticed!

Washington DC - part 1

On Thursday, we took the Metro over to Washington D.C. to do some sightseeing. It was Caydin's first time on a train!

My dad had to do some work stuff in D.C. so we met him there. The kicker was that we had to bring his carseat on the Metro with us because we were going to ride home with Dad after seeing all the sights. So poor Katie had to carry the carseat until we met up with Dad. Such a tourist....

Here is a picture of Caydin while we were waiting to go up in the Washington Monument - the tallest building in D.C.

I love this picture! Thats the Washington Monument in the background, the building that we went up 500 feet to look through the teeny tiny windows to see all the monuments and buildings. Pretty cool!
In front of the White House, moments after this picture, the police officer kicked everyone off the sidewalk and announced that the "sidewalk was closed". We go there just in time to get a picture!
