Pumpkin Patch 2015

Time flies!

Last week, we took a trip to the Pumpkin Patch!

We had lots of fun and were exhausted when we left!  The boys got to feed a ton of animals, ride a pony, milk a cow, and pick up chicks and chickens.

We did a hay ride and a train ride as well!

We've been busy! A review of August!

 We got a new cousin in early August! Aubrey is the cutest!

 We met Caydin's 2nd grade teacher!

 We took trips to the store to buy groceries and school supplies.

 Caydin started his 4th season of soccer!

 We cuddled with kitties on the couch!

 We took {almost} weekly trips to Disney World.

 Caydin got a haircut!

 Both boys started school on the same day, August 24th!

 Can't believe this boy is going to school 4 times a week!

 We started homework!

Grandpa picked Caydin up one day in his matching Winegard tee!

We started early morning study sessions too!

Ahhh. It's been a busy month! 

Summer is flying by!!!

I just can't keep up!  Summer has us busy busy busy! (Which is a good thing because I can't let these kiddos stay bored for long.... They tend to find trouble! )

We have had lots of fun this summer! Mornings were spent getting up early and heading to swim practice.  Both boys did amazing! Caydin finished at an advanced level 3. Wyatt at a level 2 (he doesn't like to use his arms during his backstroke!)

 We rode the sunrail train, just for fun!

We (well Wyatt) took afternoon naps and woke up with crazy hair... a lot!

Last day of swim lessons, Caydin got to jump off the lifeguard stand!

We all got sad about Caydin's upcoming 7th birthday! Really, I think I'm the only one sad. Caydin is over the moon excited! He promises to still be my baby and hold my hand when we are walking.

He really learned a lot this summer! He went from not swimming to diving in a few short weeks!

We got Caydin's birthday button and went to Animal Kingdom yesterday. Caydin loved all the (one day early) birthday wishes!

Beach Day!!

On  Monday, we headed over to see some friends at the beach!  We all had an amazing time!

The boys LOVE the beach.

They never want to leave.

We played in the sand.

Jumped in the waves.

Boogie boarded for hours.

We ate lunch.

We read books.

We enjoyed spending time with friends!

 

The boys are already asking for our next beach day!

Eyes... some good... some bad! :)

Today, Caydin and I spent some time together... at the eye doctor!

Caydin passed all the tests with flying colors.  

I, on the other hand, failed every test! 

(Thankfully, I already knew it so it wasn't a big surprise!)

(Also thankful that Caydin hasn't inherited my bad eyes... according to the doctor, eye genes come from the mother!!!)

Our eye doctor was amazing. He went above and beyond to show Caydin all kinds of cool eye stuff!

Caydin gave me a thumbs up each time I read a letter right. Then I started getting them wrong (without my contacts on). He was pleasantly surprised that he knew how to read the letters better than me!

After our appointments, Caydin insisted on getting a new pair of sunglasses. We have very little pigment in our eyes, so the doctor might of mentioned a few (lot of) times that we should wear sunglasses outside. Caydin listened to him!

Then.... we happened to be right next to Caydin's favorite ice cream shop.... so we had to stop in and get some!

Caydin loved our "Caydin and Mommy" time... and so did I!!!

The boys spent the evening jumping in the pool. 

Over and over and over again.

Little Swimmer!

It's official!

 

This boy is a swimmer!!!!

 

And he is pretty good at it!

 

In fact, I had to convince his swim coach to let go of him in the pool and let him swim.

 

He is so excited that he can jump in the pool whenever now.  He loves that he doesn't need a tube.  I think the icing on the cake is that he gets to hang with the big kids now.
