A visit to Santa!

We were all smiles for Santa this year! Thank God!
This was also the first year that both boys actually had a conversation with Santa about their wishes.  I wasn't surprised by their requests though!
Caydin asked for excavators.
Wyatt asked for trains.

I was just thankful that I didn't have to sit in the picture with them! ;)

It's been a busy month! {December Update!}

I get reminded often that my blogs have been pretty much non-existent lately!  We've been so busy!
Here is a re-cap of December so far!

Caydin lost a tooth! (His 3rd tooth!)
Wyatt has been going non-stop! He laughs one minute and is crying the next.  He exhausts us all!
Elf has been staying at our house.  The boys are really enjoying him.  I am the worst at remembering to move him every night.  But I figure it just makes the nights when he does move extra surprise... and the boys don't seem to mind so it's all good!
We've been riding lions.  And getting quite good at it.
We've all been sick.  Wyatt got it the worst.  He had a stomach bug one day and got a cold the next.  The rest of us have just had colds.
Caydin got to attend a special holiday party at school for being a great AR reader.  It was also pajama day.  He loved it all!
Church Sundays are happening these days! Wyatt cried the first few times he went but it loving it now!  Caydin is having a great time too!

Halloween Fun!

I figure I better post my Halloween pictures before it's officially Thanksgiving tomorrow!  The construction workers had a great time trick-or-treating with friends.  Each year, we trick-or-treat with our playgroup friends!  Each year, we have more and more fun!  This year, Maddy Pebbles was running around too!
I sure hope Caydin wants to be something other than a construction worker next year.  I running out of outfit ideas!

Silly Pics

We always seem to have fun around here! Caydin had a crazy sock day at school this week so Wyatt needed to where crazy socks too! He wanted to take a picture of me.... while I took a picture of him!

Then it was crazy hat day.  Of course Mr. Wyatt had to get in on that fun too!

This week, we participated in a "Trunk or Treat" near our school.  Caydin had a lot of fun passing out candy.  I dressed up like a dog from 101 Dalmatians.

Weekend chores for the win! Caydin was worried about slipping so he got his pair of hospital socks!

A visit to the Pumpkin Patch!

A few weekends ago, we headed over to the Pumpkin Patch for pictures, pumpkins, and a horseback ride!
Of course the occasion called for matching shirts!
No one was really interested in taking pictures... but I managed to get a few good ones.
Wyatt was really excited about horseback riding.  We got in line... waited a few minutes.  Then he saw the little kid playgroup area.  After that, he refused to even consider riding the horse.
Oh well... maybe next year!
Caydin loved his horseback ride! He asked all kinds of questions about his horse and even asked about the horse he rode last year (the horse with one eye!)
I'm pretty sure that was he favorite part of the whole day!

School pictures and.... dirt.

Today was school picture day! I told Caydin I wanted a nice picture and of course Wyatt wanted to join in!  I was excited to get a nice picture of the boys together! Caydin of course followed up his nice picture with his new trademark picture pose.... peace signs!
What was the award for a nice picture???? DIRT!

Caydin is crazy into dirt right now! And pushups...
And pretending to be a dog digging! Wyatt got alittle messy, but not much! I'm sure his days of dirty fingernails are coming!

School Life

Every once in awhile, I get pictures from Caydin's teacher.  I love seeing him in action!  He is really having a great year so far! His best buddy from Kindergarten is in his class again and he has the sweetest, most patient teacher.

Caydin was always "good" in Kindergarten but he sometimes lacked the attention span to get work done (I blame this on his young age!)
So far this year, he has been doing great.  He enjoys writing at home (he HATED writing last year) and is doing well on all his reading and math assessments.

We still have some skills to work on.. remembering those sight words and getting faster at reading... but we will get there!

I am so so so proud of him!  Caydin, if you ever read this... I am SO SO SO proud of you!
