Egg Hunt with Playgroup!

Well, our first egg hunt of the season was cancelled due to crazy bad weather.  So we rescheduled for the weekend AFTER Easter (April 7th).  Boy, it was hot hot hot!

 

This year, we headed over to Xavier's to have a fun afternoon in the sun, complete with an egg hunt, lots of dirt (sorry, no pictures!) and lots of play time!

Wyatt did great with hunting for eggs this year.  He definitely got the hang of finding one, opening it up, looking at the goodies, and moving on to the next egg.  Caydin just ran around grabbing eggs.  I think he had his mind set on finding the MOST eggs.  Caydin really isn't a candy kid so he wasn't interested in the goodies.  My kids are total opposites.

 

After lots of sun and lots of dirt, the boys went home to play in the sprinkler.  It was a great day!!

...but with the boys being 4 and 1... It doesn't always go as planned!

Caydin didn't want to be in a picture with Wyatt.  Wyatt has mastered the art of saying "Cheeeeeese."

But a couple tickle fingers and both boys laugh like crazy. :)

Caydin's VPK Prom

Caydin's school put together a little "prom" a few weeks ago! Caydin had a great time.  He loves seeing all his school friends when it is not school time.  The prom was luau themed so all the kids were dressed in their cute dresses and bright colors.  Caydin played limbo for the first time! The kids thought it was hilarious when they were asked to walk backwards under the stick... so did the parents since nearly all the kids fell over.  After catching candy in his pineapple cup, it was time to play cannonball with the beach balls.  Caydin's ultimate favorite!

 

It was so fun to see Caydin interacting with his school friends.  I can't believe he will be graduating preschool, then starting kindergarten.  Psssh, I don't even want to think about what happens after that!

Tee-tee's Baby Shower

Last weekend was a BIG weekend around here! We celebrated Baby Madison with a baby shower on Saturday afternoon, celebrated Grandma's birthday Saturday evening, and celebrated Easter on Sunday! WOW!

BUSY BUSY BUSY

We had lots of family over for the weekend.  Wyatt was teething like crazy and not in the best mood on Saturday.  He was much happier on Sunday and enjoyed playing outside all day.  He did a great job on finding Easter eggs and really understood the concept of picking up the eggs and putting them in his basket. 

We can't wait to meet Madison.  The boys have all kids of tricks and crazy behavior to teach her.  I'm sure she is going to love construction trucks and trains!

Bestest visits!

We love when we got to see our bestests! The big boys are so independent now! I remember when we would lay the big boys on blankets and we would get to sit and chat while the boys just rolled around on the blanket.  YEAH. Not so much anymore.  Sadly enough, even our little boys aren't laying around on blankets anymore! (Insert sad face now...)

 

All the boys were so good! We can't wait to visit with our bestests again!

Egg Painting

Time to play catch-up!

We did lots of Easter activities before Easter since both Caydin and I were home from school all week!  Here is one of the things we did! Caydin thought painting with eggs was neat but got bored after filling up one paper.  After awhile, he switched to just using his hands! He made ONE BIG MESS!
