Playdates galore!

We have been SUPER busy! I love summers.

We love spending time with friends during the summer! :)

As soon as we got back from vacation - we dove (literally) into activities!

Caydin started swim lessons.

We had playdates with some of our favorite friends.

We met new friends!

Caydin headed back to school and gymnastics.

Splash parks, Sea World, Monkey Joes, the Zoo (I told you, we've been busy!)

Our friend Jonah came to play one day while Caydin was at school.  Wyatt had his first official playgroup on his own. Jonah turns 1 this month (he actually has his 1st birthday party on the same day as Caydin's 4th birthday party - thankfully one is in the morning and one is at night!)

Wyatt was excited to have a friend over and Jonah was excited to see someone his size! Wyatt did fall asleep half way through his playdate so we have to work on that. :)

 Then Mommy got to go and meet Caydin and Wyatt's newest playgroup buddy Mason! We are so excited to have a new little one in the group!  I had a hard time believing how small he is compared to Wyatt.  Babies grow so much in the first year!  Mason is so stinkin cute!

 Then one day, we headed over to Melbourne to spend time with our bestest friends! We were supposed to meet at the zoo for some playtime but TS Debby had a different idea!  We absolutely loved playing with all of Landen and Gavin's toys.  Caydin and Landen have grown up together (they had their first playdate before they could even roll over) and their birthdays are only a few days apart.  I am so glad that Caydin has a buddy so close in age and I'm thankful that Landen comes with a super cool mommy! :)  After playing indoors, Catherine made some popsicles for the boys and we sent the boys outside to eat them.  I laughed when they started sharing their popsicles with eachother, like it was no big deal. I then promptly headed home and ordered my own popsicle maker.  And go figure, Caydin won't touch them AT ALL now.

 For the 4th of July, we headed over to Andrea and Shiv's house for playtime, food, and fireworks.  Caydin had a great time playing with his buddies.  He did his first slip-and-slide and watched fireworks outside, without screaming and getting crazy scared.

 Theeeeeen, we headed over to Monkey Joe's for Madi's 3rd birthday party.  We went to Monkey Joes a few days before but Caydin had a tummy ache and didn't want to play so we only stayed for about 20 minutes.  Well, he made up for it at Madi's party.  I couldn't find him half the time!  He ran around and bounced for 2 solid hours! 

Today, we headed over to the zoo with Marisa and Lily.  I'll post those picture another day!

Caydin takes on Virginia (with Grandma and Grandpa!)

When Rob, Wyatt, and I headed south back to Florida after our South Carolina vacation, Caydin headed east to Virginia with Grandma and Grandpa.  He stayed with Grandma and Grandpa for an entire week and had the best trip ever, in fact, it was tough to get him to skype with me each night he was away.  The only time he really sat at the computer to skype was when we put the computer on the ground and had Wyatt crawl to the computer.  Caydin thought it was so funny that Wyatt could crawl toward him (on the computer!)

Caydin sayings Part 2

(In the car on the way home from Grandma's)
Me: Caydin, what did you do at school today?
Caydin: (mumbles something I can't understand)
Me: Caydin, I can't hear what you are saying.
Caydin: I don't want to hear it either.

(Climbing on my lap at the kitchen table.)
Caydin: I have work to do on the puter.
Me: Well how about we take our bath first then you can do your work on the computer.
Caydin: How about we work on the puter theeeeeeeeeen take a bath.
(Such a negotiator....)

Caydin: Mom, what day is it?
Me: It's Monday.
Caydin: I don't work today. What is tomorrow?
Me: Tuesday.
Caydin: Yup, I work tomorrow.

Caydin: Mom, you're my favorite favorite favorite friend.
Me: Thanks buddy!
Caydin: Grandma is my favorite favorite favorite favorite favorite friend!
Me: Geez thanks!

Caydin: Happy Birthday mommy!
Me: Thanks Caydin!
Caydin: I want to go to the toy store.
Me: Caydin, I don't think you understand.  It's mommy's birthday, we don't go to the toy store on my birthday.
Caydin: But you want the construction train.
Me: I do??
Caydin: We can play with it together!! Teamwork Mommy!!

Caydin: Mommy, I hate work and school.
Me: You hate school?
Caydin: I hate work at school.
Me: What work did you do at school today?
Caydin: I don't know
Me: I would love to do what you do at work everyday!
Daddy: Caydin, why do mommy and daddy go to work?  To make....
Caydin: Money!
Daddy: Why do we need money?
Caydin: Because money makes the world go around.

Caydin: Let's go underground.
Mommy: How?
Caydin: In a submarine.
Mommy: Sounds like a plan. Do you see a spot for the submarine to go down?
Caydin: Yes, right here. (pointing to the sink drain...)

Caydin: I have an idea!

(After sneezing)
Mommy: Caydin, go and get a tissue.
Caydin: Nooooooo
Mommy: Caydin, you need to wipe your nose.
Caydin: (Yelling) I need a butt wipe! Not a tissue, a butt wipe!
(When did the wipes change their name from baby wipes to butt wipes?!)

(Driving in the car)
Caydin: What's that big building?
Mommy: It's a church.
Caydin: A church?
Mommy: Yes.
Caydin: Whats a church?
Mommy: You go there to learn about God.
Caydin: God? Like Oh My God?

Caydin: I just kiddin.

Coming home!

After a week in Virginia with Grandma and Grandpa.. we were all ready for Caydin to come home!

I loved getting to spend lots of one-on-one time with Wyatt but I was missing my big boy lots!  He was getting ready to start swim class so it was time for him to come home!  Wyatt and I picked him (and grandma) up from the airport on June 23rd and headed home for some playtime with Wyatt! I am so glad he had a fun time in Virginia!
