Early Birthday!

Caydin got an early birthday present that I am so excited about - it is seriously the cutest thing ever!Caydin took his job as helper when putting the bday toy together very seriously and was always ready to help (i mean, ready to get in the way) when needed!

Caydin thinks its the best thing ever too! We've only had it put together for 3 days now but Caydin has spent a TON of time playing with it.

...and if it entertains my child for any length of time... its a winner in my book!

Being the sneaky person that I am.... I'm going to wait until tomorrow to post pictures of the actual toy! (you know... since tomorrow starts in 10 minutes and all....)

Susan the Grapefruit Tree (and Caydin too)

Susan the tree is getting some mighty big grapefruit on her branches. I'm sure they aren't mighty big but being that they are the first bunch of grapefruit we've seen, they are big to us! Caydin calls them balls and tries to hold them!

One more day of school (then two days of post-planning)!!!!

Pacifier Update 3!

We haven't used a pacifier for night time in 5 days! Woot woot!

We've only had a pacifier during nap time a couple of times!

We no longer need b0ttles 2 times a day.

Yesterday {Saturday}, we didn't have a bottle or pacifier at all, all day!

Today {Sunday}, Mommy packed up all the bottles, except one, into a big ziploc bag and hid it in the cabinet!

Today, the kitchen countertops looks much bigger!

Tonight, Caydin found the one bottle left on the counter and said "peeeeease bobble peeeeease".

I gave him the bottle, without a liner or milk, and he put it all together, twisted on the cap, and tried to drink. It was so sweet.

I totally gave him the bottle.

Mommy's Helper

Caydin got this bear from a family member not long after he was born. It's a cute bear that sings some crazy baby song. He came with a bib that has all of Caydin's birth info on it - such a cute idea! For the past year (and more), it has had a happy little spot on the bookshelf in Caydin's room. Caydin has never touched it. Then last night, Rob and I watched Caydin come out of his room hugging it and took it right to his highchair. His tossed bear (not so nicely) into the highchair and started putting (really, I mean shoving) puffs into bear's mouth. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen. Caydin was sooooo focused and determined to get the bear to eat puffs.

After bear was "finished" eating, Caydin laid him nicely (I mean pushed him forcefully) back onto the bookshelf and didn't touch him again all night!
