Best spot....

...for car watchin'! just so happens to be in the back of Grandpa's truck!oh! and just an animal sounds update (mainly so I don't forget!)
Caydin now knows the sounds for:
Lion
Cow
Horse
Dog
Sheep
Duck (says the same thing everytime you ask though it doesn't sound anything like "quack quack")
He is very good about saying each and usually says the right noise when I ask!

Hunting for Easter Cars

This kid didn't care for easter eggs at all! Lucky for us, we kind of figured that he wouldn't care for them so we also hid some cars and boats as well!
Cars = big success!
Boats = Not so much :)

Easter Pictures

I've been good this year! I haven't taken Caydin to Sears at all since he turned one! I've done all his "holiday" pictures at home. Which works because we just wait till the monkey is in a really good mood, do our 10 minutes of pictures, and we're done! None of that planning-finding the right outfit-driving to the studio- waiting our turn- doing stupid things to make kiddo smile - stuff!!!!! And so far, we've been able to get a couple good pictures each holiday! Woot woot! So anyways, here are the Easter ones that we did! Such a little pimp!

The Zoo (Part 2) Feeding the Animals

For a kid who doesn't like to feed himself, touch sand, pick up slimy things, or paint.... He sure did enjoy

feeding all the animals!!!
I didn't let him feed the bull... there's something about letting your 20 month old stick a small circular pellet into the mouth of a slimy-tongued bull that just doesn't sound right to me!
Maybe next time!
And just for kicks, he wanted so badly to touch the birds!! But little birdy there has him mouth open ready to eat a finger for lunch!

The Zoo (Part 1) Aunt Katie

Aunt Katie doesn't usually get to do fun stuff with us because of her crazy work schedules, but she does try to come over to visit at least once a week! When we mentioned going to the zoo, she wanted to go, so we waited until Friday! The morning was great! We left our home around 9 and got to the zoo around 9:30! Caydin was in a good mood and it wasn't too hot yet (plus people didn't start to show up until the time we were leaving!)
Caydin was SUPER into this "Choo choo". It wasn't very large and it really didn't go anywhere but he loved it! Aunt Katie was taking pictures of us in the train when a large lady stole her train seat! She squeezed into the seat with mom. As you can see, they were mighty cozy in that train seat!
Signs were posted all over the zoo saying not to climb on the rails... but Aunt Katie didn't listen! She hopped on and almost fall backwards while trying to take a picture with the dinosaur (who, mind you, wants to eat her in this picture!)

I was so happy that he let someone hold her, besides me, even if it only lasted 15 minutes!
Aunt Katie's new car!!!

Thanks Aunt Katie for going to the zoo with us!

Park with Jaylin!

On Thursday, we had our friend Jaylin over for the afternoon. Boy, it was a GREAT afternoon! Caydin LOVED having someone to play with and talk too (even if Jaylin didn't understand any of his baby babble!) We ate a late lunch on the porch, played a lot, and took a walk to the park. Caydin and Jaylin found three matchbox-like cars that Caydin fell in love with! We have found that those cars are GREAT for preventing tantrums in the highchair and carseat so I purchased some today to keep in the glove box, just in case. Though seriously..... My kiddo never throws tantrums! WINK WINK WINK!

Thanks for spending time with us Jaylin!
Did you notice Caydin's super cute haircut (we did that on Wednesday! - only a small amount of crying was had!)
We call that a success!
